Physical carrying
Long guns are no longer treated as an unlimited invisible inventory in Nelson's description.
What this does not prove: Physical presence does not establish every carry slot, handgun concealment rule or mission-specific loadout exception.

Ammu-Nation lockers and vehicle trunks are described as weapon-storage contexts.
What this does not prove: Do not infer unlimited capacity, an exact recovery timer or identical persistence for owned and temporarily stolen vehicles.

The interview distinguishes reactions to a gun held in the hand from merely carrying a long gun.
What this does not prove: Civilian discomfort is not automatically panic, a police report or a guaranteed wanted-level increase.
Checked 2026-09-08T06:24:34+08:00 · Update trigger: new attributable source or repeatable released-build evidence.Final controls and balance
Exact slot counts, aim settings, Focus behavior, melee controls and combat statistics are not verified here.
What this does not prove: No two-plus-two rule, parry timing, input sequence, damage table, price or unlock requirement is published without separate evidence.

Possible system connections, not a guarantee that carrying a gun always triggers a report or a wanted star.
Loadout choices have a visible context
The important change is not simply a smaller weapon wheel. Physical carrying creates a distinction between a weapon stored elsewhere, one being carried and one held ready. Those states can look different to the player and may matter to the surrounding situation.
A screenshot can document a visible gun, but it cannot reveal the entire inventory. We do not count visible weapons in one promotional image and turn that count into a universal capacity limit. Nor do we treat an Edition weapon variant as evidence of its damage, superiority or availability in the ordinary campaign.
Vehicle identity and storage context are connected to loadouts, but handling statistics remain a separate subject. GTA 6 Vehicles →
Lockers, trunks and ownership
Storage needs more than a list of places. A useful release-build guide must distinguish the container, the vehicle's ownership state and how equipment is retrieved. A temporary stolen vehicle and a registered personal vehicle should not be treated as interchangeable without evidence.
This page records the reported storage contexts now and leaves capacity and persistence open. It does not promise that a weapon can be recovered at any time from any trunk, that abandoning a vehicle has no consequence, or that a shop locker bypasses every mission restriction.
The car-theft file owns temporary versus registered vehicle context and avoids an unsupported standalone garage guide. GTA 6 Carjacking →
An exposed weapon is not an automatic wanted star
The interview's distinction between carrying and holding is important. An alarming appearance, a person moving away, a person responding aggressively and a witness contacting police are not four names for the same event. They are different observations that need to be recorded separately.
Our flow diagram shows a possible chain rather than a universal trigger. That preserves the difference between a civilian reaction and law-enforcement knowledge. It also avoids presenting every public interaction as combat before the evidence supports that conclusion.

Combat options without invented control maps
Weapon access and tactical use are adjacent questions. Suppression and escape belong in the combat discussion, while this page owns carrying, storage, weapon visibility and the status of the roster. A final aim-assist setting or a melee input belongs here only after it has a clear source and platform context.
Focus, recoil feel, hit feedback, free aim, blocking, parrying and weapon handoffs should not be filled in from previous GTA or Red Dead games. A familiar animation is not proof of an identical mechanic. No controller button chart or combat build recommendation is being fabricated for launch.
The existing combat page remains the owner for tactical suppression and confrontation evidence. GTA 6 Combat →
A database foundation, not a guessed tier list
Future weapon records need a verified name, acquisition source, build and measurement method. Damage, reload time, accuracy and price are distinct fields. An attractive screenshot cannot populate those fields, and a weapon's real-world inspiration is not its official GTA VI name.
Weapon detail routes remain reserved rather than generating one page per silhouette. When a record can support a substantive guide, the registry can connect its sources, media and acquisition evidence. Until then, the main weapons URL provides the complete bounded answer.

Can you carry every weapon at once?
The interview describes physical long-gun management, not the old unlimited invisible inventory. Complete final capacity remains unverified.
Is the limit two long guns and two handguns?
That universal limit has not been verified from the accessible sources used in this update.
Can handguns be concealed?
The complete handgun concealment and detection rules need their own evidence; long-gun discussion alone cannot establish them.
Can weapons be stored in a car?
Vehicle-trunk storage is described in the direct interview. Ownership, capacity and persistence details should not be generalized beyond that context.
Will every NPC call police when I carry a gun?
No universal reaction rule is established. The interview distinguishes a held weapon from a carried long gun.
Is free aim or Focus confirmed with final controls?
This update does not establish final aim modes, Focus controls or platform-specific input mappings.
Can you block or parry in melee?
A complete block, parry and timing specification is not verified here. No final input sequence is claimed.
Where is the best weapon and how much does it cost?
A defensible recommendation requires released-game acquisition and performance evidence. We publish neither guessed prices nor a pre-release tier list.
What will change this file?
A new attributable interview, an official specification or a repeatable released-build result can update an individual claim. We record the source, build and context rather than converting a preview into a final rule. Unsupported values remain empty, and future detail routes stay out of the sitemap until they can answer a real question.
